Rhinocerous

There are these amazing Chinese cups carved out of Rhinocerous horns that were made during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Chinese people believed in medicinal properties in the rhinocerous horn. These pieces are remarkably detailed. They were primarily libation cups for rituals.
