The Dandelion

Dandelions are one of the most important imagery that I relate to. Symbolically, they represent the idea of preserverance. Even in the most desolate of areas and most toxic, the dandelion is seen, growing amidst the chaos. Although, some people think of the dandelion as a pest, I see it as a beautiful metaphor of survival. I can remember my years of childhood in which I would pick up a dandelion and blow all of its seeds in one breath and make a wish. For years I fancied the idea of making wishes and it's been a fantasy of mine for as long as I can remember. But as reality kicks in I soon began to realize that they come true, or perhaps they are still pending.
